The holy, compassionate lord                                        ----                 The Thousand-Arm Chenrezig   ________________________________________________   Dear Friends @ CAS !!    Complete Happiness and Rejoicings at the GREAT retreats with the GREAT Drikung Ontrul Rinpoche !!   Whilst bidding Rinpoche a temporary farewell, CAS and all our friends welcome the arrival of the great Palyul Khenpo, Khenpo Tsering Dorje tomorrow --   Despite the hefty costs involved, we managed to cover them all and still afford to offer precious Rinpoche 100% of whatever is left for His monks and students in India, refugees in one of the poorest countries in the world --   All gratitude to the open hearts and generosity of all students, an unexpectedly stack of life-saving money was coughed out to liberate more than twenty thousand fishes who were destined for hungry stomachs of their larger brethen --   In addition to the lorry with our thousands of mother fishes, two cooks from the roaring seafood restaurant just below our auditorium were paid to rest hacking off limbs of large crabs and peeling off the skins of frogs --   Pouring sincerity, sincerity, sincerity and sincerity again and again to the restaurant head, he agreed to stop any replenishment of stock for two days of the 2 retreat-weekends --     We gave our hearts and left parts of them with him --   We have halted hell realm for ( if only for ) two days and joy overflow into the Kallang River, the drains and the heavens --   Our late teacher -- Khensur Dorje Tashi -- whose blessed and holy name CAS's animal liberation fund was named after has indeed returned and was with us all and we are sure, also with all the little mother sentient beings, swimming free, safe and blessed, connection forged for liberation from the perils of samsara          The retreants must absolutely be saluted for their good-will, trust, devotion and graciousness --   Wrists were never slapped and sabres were never rattled for the longer shower occupancy, a longer attention from the Master, the "chopping" of the more comfortable place --   Every student is truly at his and hers exemplary best.... unobtrusive, polite, considerate, kind, understanding and so much, so much oceans of pure sincerity and devotion --   It touches everyone so much that tears fell in showers of everlasting gratitude at the last session of group practice of Thousand-Arm Chenrezig on the last day ....... led by our Lord Master, the truly Most Venerable Drikung Ontrul Rinpoche, in title and in fact --     The gods have seen and borne witness to the shining hearts --   What more can CAS ask for ??   We have seen and lived through the best --- Chenrezig ( Guan Yin Pu Sa ) has not forsaken us ........... as always     Holy Guan Yin Pu Sa has given us the best --     ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________     Coming "Holiness"   Khenpo Tsering Dorje's programme can be found at www.casotac.com   Registration for the teachings is required and will be held at Camden Education Center - www.camden.edu.sg Due to several requests for extension of deadline for registration of the teaching -- pending leave approval etc -- the deadline has been shifted to 7 June --    Registration for the initiations - 6 and 7 June 2007 - is NOT required and will be held at Katong Students' Hostel Auditorium - http://www.katonghostel.com/   __________________________________________________     The Holy Empowerments     THE OUTER AND INNER GURU PADMASAMBHAVA: "The Assemblage of Awareness-Holders"   ( 6 June 2007 )   This is an essential empowerment for all subsequent serious practices and initiations in the Longchen Nyingthig Cycle as well as being THE main Guru Padmasambhava Cycle relied upon to full Enlightenment by almost all the greatest Masters connected to the cycle including Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, Khyentse Chokyi Lodro, the Dodrupchens, the Kathok Heads and virtually every major lineal Masters ( connected to the cycle ) --       The Wrathful Guru Cycle of the Longchen Nyingthig ( 7 June 2007 )   This is the second time within 2 months of CAS's hosting of this deity's initiation -- the "King of the Wrathful Deities" and the Lord and Yidam of the oceans of Mahakalas, Enlightened and Wordly Protectors --   Due to time and logistical limitations, it should be a long time before CAS will request for the next empowerment to be bestowed of this great Yidam --   The complete teachings of this practice will be given at Camden Educantion Center from 8 to 11 June --     "The Wrathful Guru Takhyung Barwa is not an ordinary Yidam practice. There is great consequence for bestowal of this Wrathful Takhyung Barwa ." - Kalsang Rinpoche     THE WRATHFUL GURU CYCLE: LAMA TAKHYUNG BARWA   "Lama Takhyung Barwa" is one of the rarest jewels from the Longchen Nyingthig Cycle of Teachings and is the only accomplishment-practice involving the Wrathful Guru Padmasambhava from the cycle.  The Longchen Nyingthig is the "Heart-Essence" of the entire of Lord Buddha's teachings.   The Longchen Nyingthig, as of its revelation in the 18th century, by the mystic-saint Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa, has become the most extensively practiced and authoritative cycle of sacred teachings, especially in the Nyingma Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism - Tibet's most ancient  lineage of Buddhism.      Combination-Supplanted-Practice of the Eight Great Herukas / Lord of the Ocean of Protectors  "Lama Takhyung Barwa" is the name of the great Meditational Deity or "Yidam" who is often taken to be a supplanted-practice for the combined practice of the Eight Great Herukas and especially the Yidam that one masters and generates for offering-practice of all the Protectors - both Enlightened and Worldly - including Ekajati, Rahula, the ocean of Mahakalas, Nechung, Tsimar and others.   Not to be confused with similar aspect-practices such as the popular "Three Wrathful Ones", the practice of Lama Takhyung, in addition to being the actual cause for accomplishment of Perfect Buddhahood, also possesses the ultimate, inconceivable power to completely eliminate all outer, inner and secret hindrances in all forms: uncommon malignancies and diseases; planetary, earthly or subterranean negative influences.  Guru Padmasambhava Himself has exalted and exhorted the practice of Lama Takhyung Barwa as being an inconceivably unique Meditational Deity for accomplishment of Perfect Enlightenment as well as being an accessibly effective protection from and application against every demonic maras, nagas and influences in this Fivefold Degenerated Age.     An unique Path to Enlightenment  The Yidam practice of Lama Takhyung Barwa is approached from the point of the Ati-Yoga, the pan-ultimate pinnacle of all Vehicles of Buddhism.  Lama Takhyung is unique from other Yidam practices in that Lama Takhyung is being generated from "Self-cognizing Intrinsic Awareness" from the "Basic Space" of "Innate Fundamental Clear Light" whilst other Yidams are generated from within the confines of still conceptually-conceived "Uncommon Bodhicitta".  The practice of Lama Takhyung Barwa, involves the spontaneous arising and recognition of oneself as the Enlightened Deity inseparable from the Teacher, together with the complete generation of its perfected great mandala, after stability of introduction to the practitioner's luminous intrinsic awareness by the qualified Master.  Against the stable background of recognition and confidence in the view of "Rigpa", perfect faith and devotion in the precious Root Teacher, as well as the simultaneous union of one's ultimate nature with the Root Teacher, "the realization of wisdom [ or Perfect Buddhahood ] is awakened by force".   ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________     The above programme will be bestowed to anyone with faith and devotion. Students may receive these two empowerments as blessings WITHOUT having to fulfill subsequent commitments. The serious students who sincerely wish to emabrk on the practices will however receive the commitments that come with the empowerments.   There will be no fees for the empowerments.
