Programme details

Most Ven Drikung Ontrul Rinpoche will offer one hour's experiential teachings on Shantideva's classic text "Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life" before all 9 sessions of His Dharma programme in Singapore and Malacca.

All programmes will be available via CAS "live" webcast and CAS Dharmatube.

Of the ocean of termas which Guru Padmasambhava left for our troubled world, the Drikung Yangzab cycle is the sole terma which Guru Padma scripted as THE copper-coloured scrolls. Most scripted termas are left in yellow-paper scripts.

The Yang Zab (The practices of the Very Profound Vision) is regarded as supreme among all the Yanas--it embodies the very essence of the tantric teachings. As a Dzogchen practice, it is unique within the Drikung lineage, as it was revealed by the Drikung Terton (hidden treasure revealer), Rinchen Phuntsog and he is also the 17th throne holder of the Glorious Drikung Kagyu Order.

Yangzab Drollo - the Secret Guru practice of the Drikung Yangzab cycle from one of the most esoteric-sealed sections in the cycle and a secret yidam of many holy masters including the Great Fifth Dalai Lama. The Outer and Inner Guru cycles have been bestowed in past years. Most Ven Drikung Ontrul Rinpoche has compassionately acceded to bestow this empowerment in Singapore on 01 Dec.

The highest yoga tantra practice of Lord Amitayus from the Drikung Yangzab cycle - a very rare and sacred, uncommon practice. Most Ven Drikung Ontrul Rinpoche will bestow this empowerment in Singapore on 2 Dec.

Most Ven Drikung Ontrul Rinpoche will bestow the great empowerment of precious, powerful Guru Padmasambhava for the first time at Phuntsok Cho Ling (CAS) at Malacca, Malaysia on 04 Dec, 2013.

The uncommon simultaneous practice of Great King Vaishravana together with Lord Zambhala from the Drikung Yangzab cycle - a powerful and effective practice for gathering prosperity and resources for the practice of Dharma. Most Ven Drikung Ontrul Rinpoche will bestow this practice for the first time in SE Asia at Malacca, Phuntsok Cho Ling (CAS) on 04 Dec.

The Dzambhala deity is the embodiment of the perfect generosity of all buddhas. Dzambhala has existed for inconceivable kalpas. When Buddha Shakyamuni was born as a poor man, a scavenger of wood, he practiced this deity's meditation. As a r...esult, he became a king. At that time he exercised the practice of generosity, bestowing wealth upon others, and thus he attained the first bhumi (the first of ten levels).
Likewise, by the practice of perfect generosity, all the buddhas in the past achieved the first bhumi and then gradually attained buddhahood. Because of this, Dzambhala is the father of all buddhas. During the time of Buddha's teaching, Vaishravana had one thousand sons, and among them Dzambhala was reborn as the supreme one.
Buddha Shakyamuni said, "If one has not accumulated enough virtue, it is not possible even to hear Dzambhala's name." Anyone who recites the mantra will be a chosen one, will achieve a non-returning state, and will not be reborn in the lower realm. By the blessings of seeing his form and figure, one will not be afflicted by disease. Reciting his name will dispel all the poverty, the lower states of mind – discouragement, depression, etc. – and different kinds of pain in the body. There are limitless beneficial effects of reciting the Dzambhala mantra. - teachings by Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen.
