Dearest Friends @ CAS of Thousand-Arm Chenrezig,     THE HAPPPIEST OF ALL GREETINGS & WISHES FROM ALL OF US FOR THE CHINESE AND TIBETAN NEW YEAR !!   ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________   To Date:    To keep all friends updated, the mantra-prayer accumulation dedicated for HH the Dalai Lama's long-life and holy activities this year [ His Holiness's super obstacle year according to almost-always accurate Tibetan astrological heads ] stands at more than 22 million mantras of mostly Green Taras, Guru Padmasambhavas, the Wrathful Gurus cycles, the holy Chenrezigs and many many other such holy mantras --   Included are also a few thousand Tara Pujas, the students' daily commitment practices: Yamantakas, Hevajras, Vajrayoginis, Herukas, Guhyasamajas, Chenrezigs, Taras, Wrathful Gurus, etc etc --   ______________________________________________________________________________________________     Hey hey......    Included amongst their "prayer-pledges" are also many prayer requests and dedications to send to His Holiness...... for their families, departed loved ones, work, studies, business etc etc ..... a veritable rainfall of prayers and prayer-requests indeed !!   ______________________________________________________________________________________________   A Happy Aside........   Very happily, too, all the two thousand five hundred monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery will also be offering on the average 500,000 Green Tara mantras in conjunction with the bestowal of the holy Cittamani Green Tara Programme of their Abbot - Loseling Khen Rinpoche, Gen Lobsang Gyatso in Singapore last month, dedicated to the long-life and holy works of HH the Dalai Lama, the 100th Ganden Trisur, Gen Wangchen-la, Khen Rinpoche Himself and all and every holy Masters --     Pardon the number-frenzy-craze this time, but the total from Drepung Loseling alone could easily come up to more than 250 million Green Taras..... all with the purest hearts for good of all sentient beings in the world !!   Blessed indeed too are all the 40 students who managed to register on time for the Cittamani Tara Programme with Loseling Khen Rinpoche from which inspired this !!  ( We couldn't take so many more aspiring students given the tight conditions at Camden Education Center & we really couldn't find any other bigger venues at the last minute !! )     FOR STUDENTS WHOM WE COULD NOT TAKE, PLEASE REJOICE SO THAT YOU COULD GET THE SAME MERIT OR MORE !!   SEE ALSO BELOW:       Therefore ,this time, "A Last Call......"      To allow as many of our friends to join in our little offering to His Holiness ( so that we can accumulate as much merit for attainment of Buddhahood for good of the world !! ), we will keep our "hot-line" open till 1 March 2007, twelve mid-night.   Prayer accumulations as such is supposed to yield for the individual mantra-mumbler ......oops.... accumulator (!!) the very same merit as the total recited by the whole group !!   Also, we usually do not hurl mantras at Dharamsala unless there appear some worthy causes, you know ..... so, hurl your mantras while you can !!     All regards to all in the meantime !!   bb & other celebratory creatures    @ CAS of Thousand-Arm Chenrezig   __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________         When HH the Dalai Lama a little later visited New York a second time, Dezhung Rinpoche ** was one of the first to greet him when he got off the air plane..... leaving all his students behind, limping along with his cane and ceremonial scarf, he managed to hobble his way through security and was standing there waiting when the door of the plane opened. He later told some of his Jetsun Sakya students that when he had seen the Dalai Lama setting foot on American soil, he had not seen the Dalai Lama at all, but Chenrezig, and that ten thousand tiny hairs had stood straight up on his neck.      - Extracted from "A Saint in Seattle", a biography of the great Dezhung Rinpoche      ** His Eminence Dezhung Rinpoche was one of the Root Teachers of the present Sakya Trizin, the late Chogye Trichen and had passed major transmissions and empowerments to the 16th Karmapa, Dilgo Khyentse, Dudjom and Kalu Rinpoches as well as most of the greatest masters of Tibetan Buddhism.
