It has been seven years since Lord Buddha left his homeland. These verses which explain some of the physical characteristic and noble virtues of the Blessed One are sung as Buddhist hymns in many Buddhist countries.   His red sacred feet are marked with an excellent wheel; His long heels are decked with characteristic marks; His feet are adorned with a chowrie (camara) and parasol. That, indeed is your father, lion of men. He is a delicate and noble Sakya prince; His body is full of characteristic marks; He is a hero amongst men, intent on the welfare of the world. That, indeed is your father, lion of men. Like the full moon is His face; He is dear to gods and men; He is like an elephant amongst men, His gait is graceful as that of an elephant of noble breed. That, indeed is your father, lion of men. He is of noble lineage, sprung from the warrior caste; His feet have been honoured by gods and men; His mind is well established in morality and concentration. That, indeed is your father, lion of men. ... Just as the moon, surrounded by a multitude of stars, follows the sky path, Even so goes The Lord of monks, accompanied by His disciples. He will acquire a fine and pure body. Wherever he is born, he will clearly remember the Dharani   If someone at death?¡¥s door recalls this Dharani, even for just a moment, his lifespan will be lengthen and will acquire the purification of body, speech and mind. Without suffering any physical pain, he will enjoy tranquility, received blessings from all the Tathagatas and will constantly be protected by devas and Bodhisattvas. He will be respected and honored by people and all evil hindrances will be eradicated.   If anyone can faithfully read or recite this Dharani even for a short period of time, all his karmic retribution, which would lead him to suffer in hell, King Yama, hungry ghost and animal realm will be completely destroyed and eradicated without leaving any trace. He will be free to go to any pure lands and heavenly palace; and all gateways leading to the Bodhisattvas?¡¥ abode are open to him unobstructed.   Anyone who hears this Dharani even for just a moment will not undergo karmic retribution from the evil karma and severe hindrances accumulated from thousands of kalpas ago. Owing from the merits from hearing for a moment this Dharani, after death he will be reborn in the Buddha lands or in a distinguished Bramin or Ksatriya family, or in some other wealthy and reputable family.   If the Dharani is written for distribution, propagated, received and upheld, read and recited, heard and revered, this will cause all evil paths to be purified; miseries and sufferings in all hells will be completely eradicated.   If someone could write this Dharani and place it on a tall banner, high mountains, tall buildings or in stupas; one who sees the Dharani, or the shadow of these structures falls onto their bodies, or particles of dust from the written Dharani blown onto their bodies, those who accumulated evil karma which cause them to fall into evil path such as realms of hell, animal, King Yama, hungry ghost, asura and others will be spared, and will not be tainted with filth and defilements. He was born in Nangchen, Kham (Tibet) amidst numerous auspicious sign. His birth coincided with the prophecies of 2 highly realized masters Sito Pema Wangchuk (who discovered and enthroned the late 16th Karmapa) as well as Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro (the root guru of the late Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, late 16th Karmapa and present Sakya Trizin). Since young, Rinpoche has received numerous teachings, oral transmissions and initiations including all aspects of teaching related to the generation and completion stages, the songs of realizations, the complete teachings and transmissions of all the great texts. A non-sectarian master, Ganden Tritul Rinpoche exemplifies the view and conduct of past Rime masters. In addition, Rinpoche selflessly offers everything he owns to the triple gems such as gold plating to Buddha images, food and financial assistance to Sangha members etc.     Brief biography of Tenzin Rinpoche   The present Tenzin Rinpoche is recognized by His Holiness, The Dalai Lama and Tai Situ Rinpoche as the eighth reincarnation of Tenzin Rinpoche. Since young, Rinpoche is different from the children of his age. He is extremely intelligent and could understand the subjects taught to him within a very short time. He studied at the Danka College of the Five Treaties of Buddhist Doctrine as well as Drupung Monastic University for Advanced Buddhist Studies and Practice, where he mastered the five treaties of the Buddhist doctrine, five principle subjects, generation stage, completion stage and many others and had achieved excellent results. He also receives oral transmissions, initiations, teachings etc from many eminent masters of our time. In conclusion, many masters acknowledged and praised his achievements. They believe that he has the capability to propagate the Buddha Dharma and to benefit all sentient beings.
