____________ A Great Empowerment of Thousand-Arm Chenrezig
Ontrul Rinpoche will be bestowing a Great Empowerment of Thousand-Arm Chenrezig on 2 June 2007 at the hostel's auditorium at 7 pm. The full practice-text of Thousand-Arm Chenrezig with teaching on the text by HH the Dalai Lama will be available to students after the initiation.
Thousand-Arm Chenrezig is of course the holy Buddha whose blessings and guidance CAS receives so often and so much --
Thousand-Arm Chenrezig is the embodiment of the complete compassion of all the Buddhas as well as the personification of the One Thousand Buddhas of our aeon, symbolized by the One Thousand Eyes on each of Her One Thousand Arms. The One Thousand Arms symbolise the Universal Emperor who accompanies each of the thousand Buddhas.
The practice of Chenrezig or Guan Yin in Chinese will be taught and proppagated by all the Buddhas of the past, present and future due to its great sacredness and extreme intimacy in terms of karmic connections to all sentient beings.
The practice of Chenrezig accomplishes all activities and wishes on both the worldly and spiritual levels.
The initiation carries no commitments and is open to all students. The serious student may however receive the appropriate vows from the initiation.

Khenpo Tsering Dorje's Longchen Nyingthig programme
The Initiations of the Outer and Inner Guru Padmasambhava as well as Takhyung Barwa aby Khenpo Tsering Dorje will be held at Katong Student Hostel, Auditorium.
For the initiation, registration is not required and no commitments is required for students taking it as a blessing.
Registration is required for the teaching sessions on the Outer and Inner Guru Padmasambhava and Takhyung Barwa and the venue will be at Camden Education Center -- CAS's affiliated education center -- unless informed otherwise.

____________ Note on the Longchen Nyingthig Cycle of Transmission to be given in Singapore
Students are reminded that they will need to follow closely the different Longchen Nyingthig Cycle of transmissions given over the months and years as the higher Dzogchen initiations and instructions may only be made available to students who have attended most of the major transmissions given earlier.
The Longchen Nyingthig is the central cycle of teachings especially in the Nyingma Lineage and consists of the preliminaries (the Lam-Rim -- Words of My Perfect Teacher / the Ngondro - 4 Foundations ) / the Deity Yogas and leading all the way to the highes Dzogchen instructions.
The programme of Khenpo Tsering Dorje this time marks the preliminary gateway to the subsequent programmes although the Takhyung Barwa belongs to the Ati Yoga or Dzogchen section in the cycle.
