Subject: volunteer help on 8 may

HI Zhihai

Thanks for agreeing to help! Yazuan and Kah Lai from PKS will also be helping. Really appreciate all the kindness.

Anyway, you can bring your kids alongside with you! Haha.. they probably have more appeal than us adults. =)

Let me know which timing and location you prefer.

The standard information is below!

Here??¡ê¡ès more information about the event.

We are having a one day street sales fundraising event island-wide and we need about 500 volunteers to help us sell beautiful magnet-bookmarks at $2/piece. We??¡ê¡ève ordered 20,000 pieces and hope to raise at least $40,000 from this event. So far, we??¡ê¡ève only got 100 registered volunteers. We??¡ê¡ève tried all the JCs and poly, but not very optimistic.

There are two shifts: 9am ??¨¬C 1pm and 1 ??¨¬C 5pm.

You can choose your preferred location(s) from the following areas:

North: Toa Payoh, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Woodlands

North-East: Little India, Serangoon, Hougang, Kovan, Sengkang

Central: Dhoby Ghaut, City Hall, Outram Park, Harbour Front, Tiong Bahru

East: Bugis, Aljunied, Paya Lebar, Eunos, Bedok, Simei, Tampines

West: Clementi, Jurong East, Boon Lay, Choa Chu Kang

You can either volunteer individually or better still, you can get your family or friends to form a group of 5 -10 persons so that you can be together in one location. Treat it as an outing with a difference!

We plan to have 1-hour orientation sessions on one of these dates: 22/4 (7.30pm), 30/4 (6pm) for new volunteers. The session will introduce our centre and services, as well as techniques of approaching the public. If you are free to help, we hope you can also attend this.

If you or your friends, can help on 8 May 2005, just reply this email with your preferred time-slot & location or call me at tel: 67490190 by 27 April 2005.

Another way to help is to perhaps take order from friends, colleagues for the magnet bookmarks, for those who are not free on that day itself, this is one option. We can only get the shipment around 2 May though. There are 3 designs. We also have some Buddhist bookmarks that we are selling for fundraising at $2 each. I attach a picture of both of these together.

Hope to hear from you soon! Have a good day! =)

Very much appreciated!

With regards

Pei Fuen
