Part 5
8th June 2001 to 22nd June 2001

 In Ganden Monastery

CAS with the senior Administrator of Ganden Jangtse Monastery in the middle. At the background, is the stupa of the late Serkong Tzenshab Rinpoche.

Geshe Lobsang Tsering – one of the administrators of Ganden Jangtse Monastery who kindly helped to arrange the 50 million OM MANI PEMAY HUNG accumulation by the Jangtse monks for HH the Dalai Lama and the world. With help from Drepung Loseling, Serajhe, Ganden Jangtse and Singapore students, we managed a whooping 79 million OM MANI PEMAY HUNGs for the world, all Masters and His Holiness.

A truly exquisite statue of Buddha Maitreya in Ganden Monastery.

A large wall fresco in Ganden Monastery, summarising in essence, all the 200 over vows of a fully-ordained monk, otherwise known as Bhikshu.

 In Nunnery

Jovial, holy nuns and the species. Do we enjoy our plain, old Singapore manufactured cream crackers served with steaming sweet Indian tea !! Talking of home-sickness for Singapore snacks in faraway India…..…..!!

 Sakya Temple

The Sakya Temple beside Drepung Loseling Monastery – Lord Buddha is flanked by Sakya Pandita and Ngorchen Kunga Zangpo – 2 of the greatest masters of the Sakya and Ngorpa sub-sect. Moving and touched to see HH the Sakya Trizin’s picture in the temple, our familiar Teacher of years.
