6. CAS Animal Welfare ( Khensur Dorje Tashi Life-Release Fund )

The CAS Animal Welfare Fund was first started in 1997, in the name of the late Gyudmey Khensur Dorje Tashi Rinpoche. Inspired by Rinpoche's compassion for all beings, the aim of the fund is to relieve the sufferings of beings ( specifically from the Animal Realm !! ) through admitting them into animal clinics / boarding houses, mouth-feeding them with life-saving anti-biotics, fruit bits, or simply releasing them into the deep- blue ocean, considering that millions of mother animals are being killed to satisfy our mouth's gleeful craving. These life-releasing events are carried out either in Singapore or overseas into their appropriate habitat .
