Subject: [CASonline] Angkor / Liberation --

Dearest Friends @ CAS,
Under the HIGHLIGHTS Section of CAS's website, is uploaded the Angkor Wat, a World Heritage Site, the crown jewel of the apex of an ancient power, reflective of her past glory and splendor.
If American satellite shots and technologies are anything credible, the ancient metropolis centred around Angkor Wat dwarfed anything the world has ever seen, overshadowing modern Paris, Tokyo and New York, spreading one of the world's most complex irrigation systems, architectural genius and definitely, pre-communist, pre-feudalistic...... Cambodia, the ancient Buddhist Cambodia.
A CAS being's sharing of the sacred wonders of Angkor Wat:
The blessed "DPF"
bb & frens always salute when CAS's all-important "Dharma Propagation Fund" [ acronymed, "The DPF" ] applies Bodhicitta:
Here, two CAS beings have offered more than S$900/- ( inclusive of all costs ) worth of stationeries, tiles and books to schools and re-constructed monasteries to the poorest students and sangha.
"Rejoice, our Friends, to share in the merit ..... !!"
Our precious Teacher --
the late Khensur Dorje Tashi Rinpoche
CAS's Khensur Dorje Tashi Release Life Fund .....
is anything but sleepy, boring or ineffective.
Named after our precious late Teacher, the fund has, through your -- our dear Friends' -- support all these years, planted the precious seed of Liberation in the minds of our mother beings reborn in the Animals' Realm.
Through some of the highest-realised Masters alive: Chatral Rinpoche, the late Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok, the 100th Ganden Trisur, the 101st Ganden Tripa, Katok Getse Rinpoche, Lho Kunsang Rinpoche, the Drikung Ontrul Rinpoche and all, the fund has sprang forth and grabbed from the chopping boards and cruel blades, literally millions of mother frogs, mother fishes, mother eels, mother crabs, mother worms, mother bulls, mother cows, mother yaks, mother rabbits ...... all of whom, our mother sentient beings !!
Through the Maha Pandita Katok Getse "Fa-Wang", our friends have compassionately offered S$4,500/- to the seniormost Nyingma Master, the great Chatral Rinpoche in Pharping, Nepal for His "Great Annual Life Liberation" in the buzzling markets of Calcutta, India.
The Buddha, in the Lotus Sutra, recounted a man who attained Enlightenment through uttering once "Namo Buddha" in a distracted state, not with a Bodhicitta intent, but in terror as he was then attempting to flee the gaping jaws of a hungry tiger ( !! )
[ As a result of this horrified scream of his, this man attained Enlightenment, aeons later, ( even without extensive merit accumulation in the process ) during this Teaching Period of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni. ]
Our animals released will have been blessed by Chatral Rinpoche and other great Bodhisattvas, having millions upon millions of mantras ensconsed over them, the most sacred blessed holy pills sprinkled over them ( !! )
[ In addition, some of these animals -- mostly the rescued bulls and cows -- now stalked the sacred grounds of Drepung Loseling Monastery in India, katags draped around their necks, having implanted in their mental continuum the formidable volumes of the Prajna Paramita cycles, the Vinaya, the esoteric cycles of the Guhyasamaja and all ..... we rejoice !! ]
"Yes !!"
All of you are always welcomed to join CAS in our "Great Animal Liberation" ......!!
In a Pure Vision, holy Manjushri lauded the late Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok for His great courage in saving all the millions upon millions of animals from cruel deaths and exhorted Him to always to continue with it, praising animal liberation as "the most worth-while, the most virtuous activity".
The present 84th Katok Khenchen Lhoga Rinpoche, in His Teaching in Singapore last month, too, prasied animal liberation as the most noble and virtuous activity of a Buddisattva.
The best motivation to have when releasing life is, of course, to dedicate most sincerely for the liberation of our mother animals, and never to think or dedicate for one's personal welfare.
However, animal liberation is undoubtedly one of the most powerful methods for achievement of long-life, health and well-being of one's loved ones and one's precious Teachers.
Friends who want to join CAS in liberating our millions of mother sentient beings with Chatral Rinpoche and / or some of the highest-attained Masters, bank transfers could be sent to CAS's DBS Current Account: 022-900-386-5 / send your crossed checks in the name of "Charitable Assistance Society" -- mailed to bb's residence: Blk 719, Jurong West Ave 5, #01-66, Singapore 640719. Cash can be passed to us at Camden Education Center, the address given at
Friends who wish to contribute to the all-important "Dharma Propagation Fund" [ "The DPF" ], please state clearly where you meant to send your offering to.

Hi Lizzie,
This is to confirm that Chadral Rinpoche's Lama, Tsering, had received the money for life release through Western Union this afternoon. Getse Rinpoche's Lama, who is now in Nepal has helped to contact Tsering Lama to pass him our collection. Getse Rinpoche is now still in India, but His Lama had helped us do all the coordination work.
I sincerely rejoice in your merit and all contributors' merit. Rejoice! Please dedicate the merit of saving lives to all mother sentient beings......
Thank you very much for supporting our life release project.
Warm regards,
Charitable Assistance Society

From Lizzie & Benson ( again ):
The Seniormost Master of the Nyingma School
Chatral Rinpoche, Lord of Refuge
Now in his 90's, Chatral Rinpoche is considered to be one of the greatest meditation masters and most compassionate Bodhisattvas in the history of Tibetan Buddhism. He is the chief lineage holder for three main traditions in the Nyingma School-Dudjom Tersar, Longchen Nyinthig and Sera Khandro. He is the heart disciple and Vajra Regent of the late Dudjom Rinpoche and is considered to be a manifestation of Guru Padmasambhava's mind.
He says:
If you take meat, it goes against the vows one takes in seeking refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Because when you take meat you have to take a being?s life. So I gave it up.
Rinpoche considers that becoming a vegetarian can be a gradual path. Many of his students do not eat meat, fish and egg, nor drink alcohol, but some of them do.
There are lamas who eat meat and those who don?t. At my monastery in Tibet there are also lamas who take meat and those who don?t.
Chatral Rinpoche also releases unbelievable numbers of fishes from the Calcutta fish markets every year. (see video recording 2002 and video recording 2004).
Rinpoche composed a song about this practise of saving lives, tsethar: Benefits of Saving Lives.

Chatral Rinpoche was born in Eastern Tibet in 1913. Rinpoche is a holder of the Dudjom lineage, and received these precious transmissions from Dorje Dragdul, a son of the Terton Dudjom Lingpa.
From Khandro Dewey Dorje, the wife of Drimey Ozer (another son of Dudjom Lingpa), Chatral Rinpoche received precious teachings and training.
Rinpoche's main teacher was the abbot of Kathok monastery, Ngawang Palzang, who bestowed the Longchen Nyinthig "heart drop" teachings on the essential point concerning the mind's nature.
Chatral Rinpoche was also taught under Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche Chokyi Lodro. Chatral is considered one of the heart disciples of Dudjom Rinpoche. Dudjom Rinpoche was the reincarnation of the Terton Dudjom Lingpa and supreme holiness of the Nyingma tradition. Chatral Rinpoche has bestowed teachings on masters such the Reting Rinpoche, former Regent to the 14th Dalai Lama.
For many years in Tibet, Chatral Rinpoche meditated alone in caves and was renown as a realized yogi. Rinpoche would always walk on foot, refusing to use a horse. He would only live in a tent, never wishing to accept the invitation of wealthy patrons to stay in the their house. Even today he stays in his own small place in Nepal near a sacred site of Guru Padmasambhava who founded Buddhism in Tibet. Rinpoche often wanders around the Himalayas.
Rinpoche lives with his wife Kamala, and has two daughters. He was a close friend of Dorjechang Kalu Rinpoche and is venerated by all the Buddhist traditions.

From our Friend --
A son for his mother
Dear bb,

I have a prayer request for my mom. Her name is Lee Sui Meng. She had been hospitalised in Kuantan Specialist center for about 10 days now. She has water entering into her lung and have difficulty breathing. Doctors don't know the cause but it is likely that it is cancer.  She is 78 years old.

If you could send out my request I will owe you a debt of gratitude.
With grateful thanks,
( CAS: We will always keep you and your dear mother in our minds and our prayers, dear Friend .... !! )
