One
of the thousands of toothbrushes, hand-operated
torches, books, pens, medicine CAS transported
to the remotest and poorest villages at Bago,
Myanmar.

Shwedagon
Pagoda - one of the world's oldest shrine
with hair of Lord Buddha, encrusted with tons
of solid gold, diamonds, rubies and some of
the world's most precious stones, together
with the purest of devotion and love from
millenium of devotees.

"...
Enlightenment will dwell only in those who
exert themselves.
Just as there is no
movement without wind,
So merit does not
occur without enthusiasm."
Shantideva in "Guide
to the Bodhisattvas' Way of Life" ( Chp 7
- Enthusiasm )

Elegance
and beauty of Lord Buddha - golden body born
of a million virtues.

Monk
and the Lady.

Lord
Jigten Sumgon: "If the steed of love and compassion
does not run for the benefit of others, it
will not be rewarded in the assembly of gods
and men. Attend, therefore, to the preliminaries."
( This is the First of the Five Mahamudra
).

"Sea
of Dedication" .... the Karmapa's monks at
beautiful devotion.

The

the Sakya Tradition.

The
Dalai Lama before the American senate.
Time
Magazine calls him: “The most influential
person in the world”, while The Times commented
“He draws crowds that no other spiritual leader
or politician could hope to match… ”.

Some
Myanmar happenings !!
Both
during and after the riot, local Buddhists
and Muslims worked together to restore stability.
Muslim families under threat sought
refuge in monasteries and Buddhist
neighbours' houses. Police and members of
the Young Buddhist Association escorted
many of the Muslims to a makeshift
camp at the local stadium. The All Burma Federation
of Student Unions (ABFSU) and 88 Generation
Student Group leaders and monks helped Muslim
families move to safer shelters.
