21 Praises to Noble Green Tara Green Tara is born from Chenrezig's tear. After watching what Chenrezig did for sentient beings, she was touched and decided to follow her in helping to relieve sufferings and eliminate catastrophes of all beings. Chenrezig was grievened by the sufferings of all beings and shed 2 drops of tears. One of the drops became a lotus and then turned into Green Tara. Green Tara then said to Chenrezig: "Don't worry for all the people. I vow to be your helper. Although the suffering of sentient beings are unlimited, my oath to save them from the ocean of suffering is also unlimited." To recite the Green Tara Mantra: "OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA" and 21 praises to Tara can eliminate disasters and obstacles of the world and for oneself, while accumulating merit so that one can attain Enlightenment swiftly for all mother sentient beings.
